Dodge Hellcat Production Running Flat Out & Hellcat Transplant Rumors
It seems that the Dodge Hellcat production is running flat out to keep up with the demand of enthusiasts who are willing to stop at nothing to get their hands on one of these Mopar muscle cars.
Earlier this month, ther were rumors that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk had received the green light for production, and that a Hellcat version complete with 6.2 liters of supercharged HEMI V-8 grunt was planned.
And while there's been no announcement from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, we have heard here at BBK Performance that moves on the manufacturing side indicate an official confirmation is likely coming sooner rather than later.
When the 707-horsepower Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats debuted thay garnered a ton of positive attention from the automotive press and more importantly, these overpowered muscle cars generated a buzz with Mopar enthusiasts like no other Hemi car before it.
Both are still currently backordered. As some Auto News websites are reporting due to demand this will be the third production increase for the engine since the first cars hit showrooms last September.
So it would appear that we will see more supercharged 6.2-liter V-8s, but how many and when will they limit the production to make it an "exclusive" Dodge is beyond excited about the reception of these cars and engine and as of now it would appear there is no end in sight for production and the Chrysler Fiat group are ramping up the excitment with some great marketing and commerciasl - See the latest Dodge Predator video commercial below.
