First Test Drives Of Ford GT Are Very Positive.

In June of 2016, four Ford GTs clad in red, white, and blue went back to Le Mans to try and repeat history by taking on the Ferraris again.

The Ford team would come close by taking first, third, and fourth place in their class.

They made their point and at the same time showed the world that this was a street able race car that would be very desirable to the consumer and performance enthusiasts alike.

The GT is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6 that produces 647 horsepower and 550 foot pounds of torque a potent 184 horsepower per liter—plus and Ford says that’s good for a 216-mph top speed.

The new Ford GT has many similarities to the Le Mans winner and this week the automotive press finally got a chance to test drive the cars at Fords invitation in Utah on their 4.5 mile track.

So far all the automotive press reviews are Stella - with our favorite from Auto Week Quote " 2017 Ford GT First Drive: Hoo Baby - Is this the best ever road going racer ever ?"

Good news for those who bought the initial allotment of 500 GTs without a single test drive. Ford will now build 250 more cars, all of which will certainly sell fast and be sold at a premium price tag.
