BBK Performance At Mustang Week

Mustang Week just wrapped its 16th year and this year even Hurricane Irma did not keep Mustang enthusiasts away.

Welcome To Mustang Week 2017 - A five day event held in Myrtle Beach South Carolina every year where the town is over run by thousands of Mustang Fans who enjoy a week by the beach participating in the daily events that are scheduled each day.

This year’s event kept the same list of scheduled events but the dates moved from a "Hot" July to a "cooler" September that most people preferred. (Only minus was we all were waiting on Hurricane Irma that was approaching during the week)

This year’s event started the day after the Labor Day holiday with a Meet-N-Greet at Broadway on the Beach and a BF Goodrich Autocross driving school and driver challenge at the Myrtle Beach Speedway.

Wednesday - Day two was another day at the speedway enjoying more autocross events, a Vaughn Gittin drift showcase, a speedway track event that enthusiasts could participate in with their own cars and a SVT Performance burnout contest.

Thursday - Day three was a day spent at the North Myrtle beach drag strip watching a dyno challenge and a test and tune on the strip using the eighth mile part of the track.

Friday - Day four was the big car show which was held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center this year for the first time - the event was very well attended by thousands of Mustang fans even though some people were initially scared to show up because of the Hurricane threat - but it was all good and was not an issue and city officials even notified the organizers that the show could go on with no issues as the hurricane would not hit the area until the Monday after the event.

The BBK Performance team had a good time meeting all of the fans and it was great to hear all the positive comments on all of our products and surprising how many fans had our parts installed on their Mustangs of all generations.

Saturday - Day five was the final day with was a cruise-in where everyone drove their Mustangs into the convention center and parked up for the day and the car show winners were awarded their prizes and raffle prizes awarded.

We look forward to attending next year’s event with our display trailer - for now our team is ready to start making their way back to the BBK Performance Florida facility as soon as the storm passes.

Our thoughts are with all the people affected by Hurricane Irma in Florida and Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
