Recently Aaron Kaufman announced he was leaving the "Gas Monkey Garage" team on the Discovery TV network after nearly 14 years of working with Richard Rawlings and the various "Monkeys" - Now it seems that our friend Mike Brewer and Ed China hosts of Wheeler Dealers have also hit the skids after 13 years.
We had a lot of fun last year when Wheeler Dealer Mike Brewer and his team visited us here at the BBK Performance facility in Temecula to film an episode of Wheeler Dealers.
Owner and CEO Brian Murphy gave host Mike Brewer a shop tour of the BBK facility in Temecula and sold him some parts for Ed China to install on their Fox Body Mustang Episode.
The Wheeler dealer show has been a "Top Tip" show on the Velocity network for many years after a successful run in the UK and Europe. They had recently moved production from the UK over to a shop in Huntington Beach.
A few days ago Ed China announced he was leaving the show to pursue other interests after 13 years due to some creative differences involving the production of the show.
Ed recently told the world via his Youtube channel the reasons why and seems that Velocity want to change the formula of the show. Ed doesn't hold back his feelings and praises the early days of Mike and Eds shows but does not like the way the American production team are trying to re work the formula
Our friend Mike Brewer will continue to host the show along with a new partner called Ant Anstead who was the host of a British TV show called "For the Love of Cars"
We wish Ed all the best for his future endeavors and also continued success to Mike and Ant.
We hope to see you guys back over at BBK performance once of these days for some more performance parts for your next project.
Check out the short Intro video here below of when Mike visited us here at BBK Performance!
