One More Car Show Not To Be Missed This Year

The Woodward Dream Cruise Is probably the largest car show in the world and takes place every year in Detroit Michigan spanning much of Woodward avenue, from Pontiac through Ferndale in Oakland County all the way to the State Fair Grounds inside the Detroit city limits, just south of 8 Mile Road.

Mark your calendars for Saturday August 19th when this annual event cruises down woodward Avenue in metropolitain detroit.

This is the largest one day automotive event in the USA and usually draws around 1.5 million people and over 400,000 cars from around the USA and the world.

Spectators get to see rare classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, collector cars, and special interest vehicles that can span decades right up to current modern muscle cars and trucks.

Woodward ave is a classic Americana street that has attracted numerous street races over the years along with numerous drive ins and also a number of car dealerships and aftermarket performance speed shops over the years.

Ford Motor Company announced that they will be the main sponsor of the 2017 Woodward Dream Cruise, after Chevrolet decided to end a six-year run as the presenting sponsor.

Ford will continue to hold its Mustang Alley event, now in its 19th year, in Ferndale, MI and will have a presence at four new locations along Woodward Avenue. Jim Owens, Ford Performance Marketing Manager, has said that Ford will have vehicle displays from Nine Mile Road all the way up to 15 Mile Road, filled with Ford’s performance car lineup — including the new Cobra Jet and the Boss 302S.

This year’s Mustang Alley event is promised to be the largest one ever and Ford will use the opportunity to showcase the new 2018 Mustang which hits dealer showrooms later this year.

This event is definately one not to be missed on your show calendar for 2017.
